The ultimate in free social music radio
The Last.fm Scrobbler is a free app that places the “social music revolution” onto your desktop, giving you access to thousands of tracks from all musical genres.
The beauty of the Last.fm Scrobbler is that it encourages you to find similar artists to the ones you already like and pushes you to interact with users who share the same tastes. Search results appear as a tag cloud, with the biggest elements being the most popular. With thousands of songs available on Last.fm, it’s pretty unlikely that you’ll listen to the same thing twice. The Last.fm Scrobbler is streamed and you’ll have to be connected to the internet and have a Last.fm account for it to work.
Although slightly bulky, the Last.fm Scrobbler is sleek and accessible. We like the shiny control icons and the “now playing” window. This is where you’ll find artist information like album cover, a small description of the artist, related tags and artists and top listeners. The Last.fm Scrobbler menu bar on the left includes your recently played tracks, recently loved and recently banned, although to listen to these you’ll need to upgrade your Last.fm account.
With the Last.fm Scrobbler, you can connect to neighbors' stations and listen to their tunes. The lists of the friends you made on Last.fm will also appear on your player. If you have the Audioscrobbler plug-in installed, Last.fm Scrobbler can also track all the songs you play in your favorite desktop music app (like iTunes) and connect you with even more neighbors.
Most of us here at Softonic have Last.fm connected all day, simply because it doesn’t require you to have your own music library, it’s free and provides an endless flow of new tunes. In line with modern evolutions in online music, Last.fm Scrobbler mixes streaming and social tools to give you an exciting music player.
The Last.fm Scrobbler - no music fan should be caught dead without it.

IMHO Last.fm.
The Scrobbler was set up in seconds. In less than a minute I was listening to great sound. For would be audiophiles take out the PC speakers and replace with a Hi-Fi..... a big monster WOW. Not too loud but this trick allows the Scrobbler to sound so much better. Has your Hi-Fi got an AUX input? Try it for even better quality experience of scrobbler.
Pros:
Its easy to set up
Cons:
Non really once I followed the rule, if all else fails read the instructions ;-) More

GOTTA GET MY GROVE ON.
This is the best station i ever came across, I found no flaws in this station at all, it has all the music in every type of music. The scrobbler is good also because it plays only the best in that category. More

Great program, but has some serious drawbacks..
The ui is not capable of being sized smaller than 567,438. Streaming playback also jumps spontaneously sometimes. Last.fm is great, but this player does not play the music quite as well as the website does.
Pros:
Nice, usable interface
Cons:
Playback is jumpy
UI unable to compact (a widget would be nice) More

The best music program for Windows.
Last.fm is a wonderful program for music lovers running windows (and it's also available for Linux and Mac users). I love the way it lets me either discover new music or listen to my own music when I'm away from home. Just set it up, put your user name in and get going. Premium membership costs only 3EUR a month, which is well worth it in my opinion.
Pros:
Simple to use
Huge library of music
Open source!
Cons:
none More
